I’m a Head of Art with over a decade of experience in secondary schools, and I also teach primary-aged children, so I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how children learn, make and grow through art. I’m also a mum of two, which means many of my ideas are road-tested at the kitchen table before they ever reach a classroom.

​Being creative has always been a lifeline for me. It calms me, grounds me and brings me back to myself and I believe it can offer children that same sense of joy, connection and confidence too.

​

I created Kerry’s Creative Corner to share simple, meaningful activities that don’t need a big budget or a well-stocked craft cupboard. I love using natural, recycled and everyday materials to create projects that feel genuinely achievable, full of wonder, but never overwhelming.

My ideas are inspired by the changing seasons, the natural world, celebrations and awareness days, and they’re designed for busy parents making memories at home, home educators looking for low-prep activities, and primary school teachers wanting to bring more art into the classroom without the stress.

​

I believe some of the loveliest projects begin with a walk outside, a handful of simple materials, and a little time to notice the world around you.
